Abstract
Second- and third-order approximations as proposed by L.N. Trefethen and L. Halpern (1986) are implemented in a FDTD (finite-difference time-domain) code using the formation of E.L. Lindman (1975). The accuracy and numerical efficiency of the different boundary conditions in this implementation are examined.<>
