Abstract
A method to analyze the propagation of signals between PLC modem and radio receiver is presented. The proposed equipment, named radio dummy, operates like a short wave radio receiver with a short rod antenna. It operates in a battery-driven mode as well as with an external power connection to the low voltage distribution network. In a simulation and an experimental measurement the influence on the disturbance level of the branches and switches in the power network are analyzed in principle.
