Abstract :
According to the definition of texture and the self-similar characteristics of texture, we introduce the quantify method which computes the texture self-similarity from the structure and appearance details. This method can effectively distinguish the obvious structural textures, and the results of this method and the subjective evaluation results are consistent. In addition, we give two applications: the texture category and the evaluation of texture synthesis results.
