  • Abstract
The FEM (finite element method) technique using infinite elements to model the open boundary is applied to RAM (radar absorbing material)-coated 2-D circular cylinders. The far fields computed from both the infinite elements and the current distribution on the scatterer are shown to give good agreement with analytic solutions. The advantages of solving for the local near fields is also demonstrated.<>
