Abstract
The analytical solution of physical optics in the near field for a perfectly conducting body is obtained. The technique permits a deeper analysis of a broader array of problems such as radar cross section (RCS) and antenna calculation or measurement. Bistatic and monostatic RCSs are studied. With this theory one can also investigate RCS calibration and the extension of all possible modelings made before in the far field with physical optics.<>
