  • Abstract
The Lax-Wendroff method and R.H. Ni´s (1982) scheme for Euler equations in computational fluid dynamics are applied to the computation of the scattering of TM (transverse magnetic) plane waves from a perfectly conducting square. Comparisons of the results and features are made with those of K.S. Yee´s (1966) algorithm. The results show that Ni´s scheme has the potential to solve wave scattering problems in complex geometry. It has the potential to be applied to arbitrary, curvilinear coordinates, in computational electromagnetics because of its finite-volume feature and large CFL number.<>
