Abstract :
An innovative fully automatic machine is presented in this paper. This machine is used to pile guardrails. Guardails are roadside safety barriers. There are two ways to control the machine, automatically and manually. Automatic control uses a programmable logic controller (PLC), and manual control uses buttons. In automatic and manual control the machine is controlled depending on the information that sensors give. They indicate where the machine parts are situated. These machine parts are receiving part, piling part, mobile base and platform. PLC or buttons control the positions of the machine parts by means of relays, solenoid valves and contactors. Solenoid valves manage pneumatic and hydraulic devices and contactors manage motors. This machine allows cost reductions and a productivity improvement
