Abstract
There is a sound theoretical basis to the argument that human capital contributes to economic growth. As an important component of human capital, health makes impact on economy at both individual and country level. This has immediate policy implications, in that it provides a rationale for economic policy-makers to use health investment via health care system, as one additional means of achieving their economic objectives.
