Abstract :
The authors propose a new method for signal averaging intended for nonstationary noise reduction in the ECG. The different ECG cycles are arranged in ascending order or noise variance before averaging. Then if only low-variance cycles are averaged, the improvement in signal-to-noise ratio is better than averaging all cycles recorded
