Abstract
The distributed phased array design allows the Spaceborne Imaging Radar-C (SIR-C) to be electronically steered +or-23 degrees , which, when combined with the fixed mechanical tilt angle, gives SIR-C an illumination tilt angle range of 17-63 degrees off nadir. The SIR-C antenna panels and feed assembly, the antenna transmit/receive circuits, and the panel electronics are discussed.<>
