Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the contribution of the Wavelet Transform in the detection of transient signals during thrombolysis in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients. The Wavelet Transform is a time-scale transform, based on the expansion and translation of a mother wavelet, which is well suited to non-stationary signals. Time-frequency contour maps of ECG during thrombolysis reveal varying high frequency signal components, whose duration and amplitude are related to the degree of tissue damage and to the elapsed time from the beginning of the thrombolysis
