Abstract :
In this paper the design and implementation of an automatic system for the estimation of the extent of a patient´s burns is described. The system follows a hybrid approach, integrating classical image processing techniques (such as filtering, clustering, texture analysis, etc.) with methodologies of knowledge-based systems
