Abstract :
In this paper, the authors present a novel transform enhancement method called as trigonometric transformation, which is based on the anatomical feature of chest images. The trigonometric transform enhancement described here, which enhances the contrast both in lung regions and in mediastinum region up to entire dynamic range of display device, may have broader implications in clinical radiology
