Abstract
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have broad application prospects in many areas and have high use value, but their biggest drawback is that the energy of nodes is limited and energy cannot be supplied. Traditional routing protocols cannot work well in WSNs effectively. In recent years, with in-depth study of particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithms, some papers have proposed the PSO routing algorithms applied in WSNs and proved that the algorithms can indeed improve the network performance. This paper reviews the protocols of the research which have already carried out and through comparison and analysis, we put forward new ideas for further research.
