Abstract
Tritium behavior in coastal area was analyzed with a modified NORMTRI code based on compartment model for the long term up to 100 years. It was shown that tritium accumulates in the environment in decades, and while it is below limits, contamination of food and water will not be negligible. A large water surface can affect the tritium behavior in the atmosphere and that understanding the behavior of tritium around boundary area of the atmosphere and surface is one of the key points for understanding tritium behavior in the environment.
