  • Abstract
    A Randles equivalent circuit can approximate the dynamics of a VRLA battery. An approach to estimating the components of the Randles equivalent circuit is outlined, which utilises system identification techniques. The results of applying the technique to a range of VRLA batteries are presented and the relationship between the identified parameters and battery health is discussed
