Abstract
There appears to be a mystery about battery performance in digital cell phones and other pulsed load applications. Sometimes, a battery that works well on the analog system and provides good capacity reading on a battery analyzer provides unsatisfactory service if used on a digital cell phone. This paper addresses how the internal resistance of a battery affects the delivery of power. Three batteries are discussed: Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd
