  • Abstract
    A relation that describes the myocardial characteristics and LV function is derived to evaluate cardiac performance. The derivation is the ratio of Young´s modulus (T/L) and elastance (E). This TLE relation was evaluated using 5 sets of ECG gated cardiac images. The result indicates that using the short axis of MRI cardiac images one is able to non-invasively assess the structure and function of the left ventricle
