Abstract
Wireless cellular network teletraffic analysis plays an essential role in network planning of cellular networks. Traditional approaches are based on discrete models, and use analytical means or computer simulations. Unfortunately, these approaches do not scale well to large networks. In this paper, we introduce a continuum model for cellular networks that uses PDEs to approximate channel occupancy behavior. Such PDEs can be solved in much less time than it takes to obtain the usual analytical or computer simulation results.
