Abstract :
A low-cost upconverter to extend the bandwidth of a vector signal generator has been designed and constructed. Special attention has been paid to the linearity and to the suppression of out-of-band spurious, as the circuit aims to enable testing of microwave circuits under controlled modulated excitations.
