Abstract :
In this paper, we have derived closed form analytical expressions for describing effects of delay spread and imperfect channel estimation on performance of an OFDM system under conditions of both sufficient and insufficient guard intervals. The treatment has been extended to derive an equalizer for OFDM transmission with delay spread much greater than the CP length. Analysis has also been carried out to highlight the implications of frequency and symbol timing offset on multipath performance of OFDM. The analytical results have been supported by appropriate simulations.
