Abstract
The conventional electric propulsion system is usually aimed at controlling the shaft speed only, without taking advantages of the electric propulsion motor into control strategies. This paper designs a SSP for marine electric propulsion system with SIMOTION system, and presents hybrid controller (HC) combining with SSP speed, torque and power. The simulation results show that HC can significantly reduce fluctuations in speed, torque and power.
