Abstract :
Radiowave propagation models are very useful for assessing the quality of service (QOS) of mobile communications compared to the direct measurements. In this paper, signal data are acquired under different environmental conditions and for various cases depending on whether transmitter and receiver are in motion or stationary. The radio transmissions vary from VHF to S-band frequencies. Field strength, PDF and CDF of these cases are presented. The results indicate interesting features of both environment and mobility of transmitter and receiver at various frequencies. In this paper practical aspects of data acquisition, processing and analysis are dealt with.
