Abstract
The paper investigates the applicability of the object oriented software paradigm to energy and propulsion system simulation. UML is used to analyze and design a simulation program for gas turbine engines. The engine configuration and algorithmic adaptability is on focus and the tools provided by UML are employed to investigate various innovative ideas of implementation. New abstraction of the engine simulation is manipulated and satisfying results are attained on the example. UML is proved a powerful tool for object oriented analysis and design
