Abstract :
As service providers (SPs) strive to offer more efficient and higher-quality multimedia services to their customers, the service ordering and billing functions become more and more important. In this paper we introduce improved service-ordering and billing systems, focusing on their requirements and implementation. The main requirements of an SP for service-ordering and billing using multimedia services are described. We illustrate our four approaches to system implementation. Together these satisfy the requirements
