Abstract
The waveguiding properties of several structures containing isorefractive materials are examined. Among them are the partially filled parallel-plate waveguide, the slab waveguide, the partially filled rectangular waveguide, the concentrically partially filled circular waveguide and coaxial cable, the sectorally filled circular waveguide, the confocally partially filled elliptical waveguide, and the semicircular and semielliptical ridge waveguides. All these guided-propagation problems are solved exactly, and a discussion of the practical value of these solutions is presented
