Abstract :
This paper is addressed to active vibration control of a simply-supported thin plate. In order to minimize the level of vibrations, the feedforward and feedback H2 controllers are applied via a piezoelectric actuator in the case of known and unknown disturbances respectively. The first five modes of plate between 0-500 Hz are considered as in-bandwidth modes. To evaluate the performance obtained the pointwise and spatial H2 controllers are designed and compared.
