Abstract
A theoretical analysis algorithm for the fast simulation of passive microstrip components is proposed, which is based upon the mixed-potential integration equation (MPIE) method and the rational function approximation. Discrete complex image theory (DCIT) is used to compute the high-order frequency derivatives of spatial Green´s functions. The results show that DCIT is much more suitable for this problem than numerical integration
