Abstract
The aim of this paper is to provide a new approach for the solution for the l1 optimal control problem in the MIMO case which avoids zero interpolation in the numerical solution. While exact optimal solutions may not be computed, solutions which are arbitrarily close to optimal are obtained. Duality theory is utilized to provide converging upper and lower bounds for the optimal l1 norm
