Abstract
This paper describes a diagnostic tool (AGETS MBR) designed to isolate failures between Pratt and Whitney´s F100-PW-100/200 engine and related test equipment using an overall system troubleshooting approach. AGETS MBR (model-based reasoning) was developed using a tool called QRS (qualitative reasoning system). This paper overviews QRS, highlights its use in the development of AGETS MBR, presents typical AGETS MBR diagnoses, and finally, preliminary AGETS MBR performance results are shown.
