Abstract :
This paper describes some features of an interactive educational tool developed for teaching complex analysis for engineering students. It focuses on the graphic representation of the operations of complex arithmetic and the images of complex domains under analytic function. Emphasizing the visualization of such topics, it is intended for use in a graduate engineering analysis course to provide students with a better understanding and professors with a more stimulating lecture tool. Additionally it can be of assistance in engineering design in areas where conformal mapping is a useful tool (such as airfoils or waveguides). Matlab was the software chosen because it is well known to researchers, professors and engineering students
