Abstract :
The rapid proliferation of wireless personal communication services (PCS) has fuelled the need to look into optimum handover schemes. In view of this, the relationships and tradeoffs between the various handoff metrics are studied. Work reported in the literature and some of the relevant issues are discussed. Handover design issues for future integrated wireless networks offering a high quality of service (QoS) to users are investigated
