The TMN Functional Architecture provides a systematic decomposition of the management functions that telecommunications service suppliers and network operators need to run their enterprise. The TMN Functional Architecture is useful for the following tasks: analysis and description of existing Operations Systems and process flows; specification of new operations systems and process flows; gap analysis of operations plans; planning of migration to new systems and processes; development of new operations systems
