Abstract
An airborne system comprising four SARs that operate in the X-(λ≈3.9 cm), L-(λ≈23 cm), P-(λ≈68 cm) and VHF-(λ≈254 cm)-bands is presented. A general description of each SAR is given together with its basic performance characteristics. Design peculiarities of transmit-receive channels, antenna units, radar data recorders and digital data processing algorithms are discussed. Radar images obtained with the use of SARs operating at different wavebands with various polarisations are presented
