Abstract :
The newest CASS configuration, the Common Test Station (CTS), provides an industry standard for testing a wide variety of guided munitions. The development of the CTS is intended to combat the proliferation of Specialized Test Equipment in the world of guided munitions. The CTS moves CASS into the All-Up-Round (AUR) and Guidance Section (GS) test arena and paves the way for multi-service commonality. The CTS design provides comprehensive stimulus and measurement capability, flexible switching for the test program set (TPS) designer, and a modular architecture for the easy addition and removal of subsystems. This paper discusses the hardware design features of the CTS and the capabilities the CTS offers as a standardized guided munitions tester.
