Abstract
We have developed an algorithm which can set nulls at the directions of arrival of signals from jammers, multipath returns and other electromagnetic sources with control of the phases at the elements of a phased array. Also an algorithm of random phase quantization is developed which can reduce the parasitic sidelobe levels due to the phase quantization in phased arrays. The experiments of phase control null and random phase quantization are dune in a density weighted phased array. The theoretical analysis and experimental results are in good agreement
