Abstract
In this work we discuss, problems associated with aggregating data within a sensor network. Clearly, if one or more sensors are faulty, their data is questionable. In situations where data is aggregated together to form information, the accuracy of the information will also be questionable if some of the data is faulty. We briefly discuss some “simple statistical functions”, which may need to be computed using sensor data. We construct some approximation methods for aggregated statistical functions within a sensor network.
