Abstract
The field of signal processing is a host of mathematical tools, such as linear system theory and Fourier transform, which are used extensively in optics for the description of the optical filtering. This paper provides the mathematical analysis of optical filtering techniques. Analysis shows the detailed derivation and implementation of optical filtering techniques by Mach-Zehnder interferometer, Optical ring resonator and Fiber Bragg grating and its combination using MATLAB.
