Abstract
This paper based on CAD/CAM technology discusses the analysis methods of auto body surface quality, the Class A surface evaluation criteria, the smoothness criteria of auto body surface, as well as the smoothing optimization methods of auto body surface. From the internal quality of the auto body surface, the patches grading criteria of auto body surface, the adjacent continuous relationship between surfaces, and as well how to effectively use of surface analysis and optimization tools, to explore ways and means about how to optimize the automotive body surface. In the Class A surface standard constraints for the basic surface of the internal quality and continuity, and internal quality and continuity of the transition surfaces are discussed; at same time, the key points of Class A surface structure formation process has been studied.
