Abstract :
The SRM is increasingly finding application in manufacturing, electrical vehicle, aerospace and other areas. However, successful operation of the SRM heavily depends on an undesired and expensive rotor position transducer. This paper introduces a new rotor position transducerless control technique for the SRM, based on the magnetizing curves only at aligned and unaligned rotor positions. Through a novel fuzzy algorithm, the complete SRM magnetizing characterization is first constructed, and then used to estimate the rotor position. Simulation and experimental results are presented
