Abstract :
In this article, we develop a hybrid method with clear physical interpretations of solutions and a simple and practical procedure for the analysis of radiation characteristics of a short backfire antenna (SBFA). This is a highly-efficient radiator of simple and compact construction used for communication, tracking and telemetry. We carry out the numerical calculation and obtain satisfying results
