Abstract :
The spaceborne VLF/ELF loop antenna for communications to submarines is a loop wire in the F2-layer of the ionosphere at a height of 350 km. For simplicity, the antenna is idealized as a magnetic dipole and the ionosphere is idealized as a homogeneous anisotropic plasma. The VLF magnetic field on the sea surface is analyzed and calculated
