Abstract
Interference has a significant impact on the network communications; hence efforts have been made to reduce it. Although interference has an unambiguous definition, researchers have different opinions about the interference model. There are mainly two kinds of models. One is based on the number of nodes, and the other is based on the signal strength. However, as discussed in this paper, the former kind of models cannot factually reflect the real-world interference, and for the latter, it is difficult to assume the distribution of interfering nodes and the corresponding parameters. Aiming at this issue, we propose a new interference model which is based on the extraneous interfering energy and adopts the probability of interferer transmission. Simulation results illustrate that our model reflects the reality well.
