Abstract :
The authors describe an experimental power station for a telecommunications exchange capable of being manned from a remote point. Features discussed include the configuration of the teleoperated station, the operation instructions (encompassing control levels/hierarchy, telesignals, and telemeasurements), and ways of interacting with the operator and availability for teleoperation. It is expected that the completed plant will become part of a system of hierarchical supervision that could be extended to the entire network of national telecommunications
