Abstract
Threat assessment (TA) is an important foundation for weapons allocation in air defense operations. A reasoning system for TA is investigated based on fuzzy rough sets. Firstly, the relationships between fuzzy approximation operators and fuzzy reasoning are analyzed as well as the signification of lower and upper approximate reasoning. Then, a model of TA based on fuzzy rough reasoning (FRR) is built and the algorithms in multidimensional and multiple modes are investigated. Finally, the validity of the proposed technique is checked through simulation instance with 10 typical air targets.
