Abstract :
The polarization error of the in-line sagnac interferometer current transducer is studied by using the Jones Matrices formalism. This paper presents theoretical results showing the effects of linear and circular birefringence on the sensing coil. The simulation result shows that the linear birefringence could be restrained by adding a larger amount of circular birefringence in the sensing fiber.
