Abstract
This paper introduces clustering analysis technique in reservoir flow unit research. The parameters such as flow zone indicator, porosity, permeability, clay content, poro-throat radius (R35), etc, which can characterize reservoir characteristic are selected as evaluation parameters. Reservoir flow units in Wei2 block, Jiangsu oilfield, are classified as four types according to evaluation criterion established by clustering analysis theory. Then this paper discuss the main features of each flow unit combination with sedimentological and performance data in this paper. At last, authors point out II and III type flow units are main zones of remaining oil distribution at present by analyzing relation of flow unit and remaining Oil, which are the main targets to adjust potentially further.
