  • Abstract
NOx from diesel exhaust gases can be removed efficiently by a combination of ozone injection and exhaust gas recirculation. In order to industrialize the system, it is necessary to develop NO control system, because NO concentration changes largely by engine output power. In this study, we constructed a NO control system without using NOx sensor. As for control method, we adopted two control methods; the one is an ozone control under predetermined rate of exhaust gas recirculation and the second one is an energy minimum control. The detail of automatic control methods are introduced in this paper. NO control experiments were carried out using 2.4 kVA diesel engine generator, and NO emissions were successfully controlled by the system.
