Abstract
Special quadrupole electrode system was used in this experiments. A charged droplet is sustained at the balance point by the AC driving voltage which is applied to the wire electrodes and is shifted by some distance to a plane electrode when DC voltage is applied to it The centripetal force of the droplet toward the balance point can be estimated by DC voltage of the plane electrodes. The droplets, which were generated by a vibrating orifice aerosol generator, can be charged by a charging electrode set above the orifice. The relationship between the centripetal force and AC electric field, the frequency and the position of droplet was obtained by this experiment.
