Abstract :
Reconfigurable systems are expected to become more and more important as flexibility is becoming a requirement for many telecommunication applications. In this work, a methodology for handling dynamic partial reconfigurability is presented. The methodology builds on and extends the Rugby model and is applied to a case-study for implementation of two link-adaptation algorithms for WiMAX on a Xilinx Virtex-4 SX35 FPGA. The results indicate that implementation of dynamic partial reconfiguration can be handled well by the proposed methodology.
